On Wednesday, March 3rd the Gordon Association recognized our 2009 Circle of Honor recipients as well as the special awards winners. The luncheon was a great success due to the hard work of our Awards Committee and our entertainment of Gordon Idol contestants! Lori Kearns, Carol Hatch, Earl Anderson, Nathan Thornton and Angie Whiteaker sang their hearts out for the membership and our Idol judges, Shawn Brown, Hanna Pate and Yvonne Hamill! But, we could only have one winner and the members voted and Nathan became our Gordon Idol winner! It was a great event and again we congratulate all of our Award Winners and Circle of Honor recipients! A great achievement!

The Gordon Association will be hosting a CE class on Thursday, March 25th at the Calhoun Depot. "HUD-1 Settlement Statement: Does It All Add Up?" will be taught by Howell Haunson. Calculator and pencil are required for this class. Today, more than ever, you need to understand the HUD-1. The HUD-1 uses simple mathematical formulas, and knowing and understanding these formulas make the document easy to understand. It is the one document that can "make or break" you in the eyes of your client. Gain valuable instruction on how to prepare the HUD-1 Settlement Statement.

The Georgia Association of REALTORS® (GAR) has partnered with REtechSouth to bring the largest real estate technology trade show in the South to Georgia real estate professionals. The two-day conference will feature a line-up of prominent real estate speakers as well as GAR's Annual Broker/Manager Camp, which offers presentations specifically aimed at the needs of brokers, managers and owners.

We are very excited to be a part of March for Babies this year and hope you will join our team! Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. We're walking because we want to do something about this. The money we raise will support March of Dimes research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And it will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care. The walk will take place on March 26th at 109 S. King Street in Calhoun.
